Numbered FreeCell deals

Microsoft FreeCell Game Numbers: Replay Classic Deals

A Microsoft game number is a deterministic seed. Entering the same number recreates the same 52-card layout across compatible FreeCell games.

01

How numbered deals work

The classic Microsoft shuffle uses the game number to generate and deal the cards across eight cascades.

  • Same number, same opening
  • Deals 1–32,000 are the original set
  • Later Windows versions extended the set to one million
02

Replay or share any deal

Enter a number in the game-number box or share the deal URL. The recipient opens the exact same starting board.

  • Compare different solutions
  • Retry a difficult deal
  • Share without an account
03

Know the famous exceptions

Almost every Microsoft deal is solvable, but a small published set is known to be impossible under standard rules.

  • #11982 is the famous original exception
  • The game labels known exceptions honestly
  • A solvable opening can still be played into a dead end
